After graduating with honours in Literature and Social Communication from the Catholic University of Milan, Gherarda Levati's first step in her professional career was at Carrefour Italia, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Selection, Training and Organisational Development within various Business Units, and most recently as HR Manager of the Italian HQ. In 2006, she joined Castorama, a multinational in the DIY sector, part of the English Kingfisher Group, as Director of Organisational Development and subsequently appointed HR Director for Italy. In 2009 she became HR Director Italy at Gilead Sciences, a pharmaceutical company with their HQ in the United States. In 2011 she joined Amplifon as HR Director Italy, leading significant growth phases of the organisation, people development and change management processes; from 2018, as part of the Global HR Function, she was responsible for redefining the strategy and key processes in the Total Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Development & Learning areas, over a perimeter of 26 countries and five continents. Most recently, starting in 2019, she held the position of HR Senior Director Asia Pacific and Center of Excellence Total Reward & Global Mobility at Amplifon, leading the people side of the expansion and transformation plan of the APAC Region in Australia, New Zealand, India and China and defining the Compensation and Expatriate management policies for the whole Group. In November 2021, Gherarda Levati joined KIKO in the role of Chief HR Officer and with the objective of defining and leading the People Strategy for the entire organisation globally.
